Select 8-12 cards with matching pictures or designs (e.g., animals, colors, shapes).
Arrange the cards face down in 2 rows of 4-6 cards each.
2. Demonstrate:
The Helper flips over two cards to show how to search for a matching pair.
If the cards match, set them aside as a pair.

3. Activity Steps:
Step 1: Small Field
– Lay out 2 rows of 4 cards (8 total cards).
– The Helper let the Participant scan the cards for 10 seconds and then flips over the cards facing down.
– Encourage the Participant to scan and flip over two cards at a time to find a matching pair.
– Continue until all matches are found.
Step 2: Moderate Field
– Add more cards, creating 2 rows of 6 cards (12 total cards).
– Repeat the matching process, supporting the Participant as needed.
Step 3: Large Field Challenge
– Expand to 3 rows of 6 cards (18 total cards) for an advanced visual scanning challenge.
– Encourage the Participant to take their time, remember card positions, and find matches.
4. Repetitions:
Complete 2-3 rounds of the game, adjusting the number of cards based on the Participant’s comfort and skill level.
Gradually increase the difficulty by adding more cards or using more complex images.
Tips for Success:
Use encouraging phrases like “Great memory!” or “You found a match!” to motivate the Participant.
Allow the Participant to take more time scanning if necessary.
If the Participant struggles, reduce the number of cards or provide gentle hints.
