How to Do:
1. Setup:
- Lay out two yoga mats, one for the child and one for the helper (caregiver).
- Choose a relaxing playlist with nature sounds or sleep-time music to create a calming atmosphere.
2. Yoga Pose Selection:
- Have the child and helper pick a yoga card from the deck.
- Each card will show a different yoga pose, such as tree pose, downward dog, or butterfly.
3. Practice the Poses:
- Demonstrate the first yoga pose for the child and encourage them to copy your movements.
- Hold each pose for 10-15 seconds, focusing on breathing deeply and maintaining balance.
- Complete 10-20 yoga poses, depending on the child’s comfort level and focus.
4. Relaxation:
- After completing a set of poses, take a few moments to relax and breathe deeply.
- Encourage the child to focus on how their body feels and the calmness they experience after the poses.
Tips for Success:
- Start with simple poses and gradually increase difficulty as the child becomes more comfortable.
- Ensure the child’s movements are slow and mindful to enhance relaxation and focus.
- Offer praise and encouragement for their efforts and creativity during the practice.
