Ensure the participant is seated comfortably on a chair with their feet able to touch the floor.
Have two nubby or bumpy plastic balls ready for the activity.
2. Foot Rolling:
Place one nubby ball under the participant’s foot.
Guide the participant to roll the ball forward and back with their foot 10 times.
Switch to the other foot and repeat the process for 10 rolls.
Use both feet to roll the ball forward and back simultaneously for 10 rolls.
3. Hand Rolling:
Hold the nubby ball between both hands.
Roll the ball in a linear motion (forward and back) 10 times.
Then roll the ball in a circular motion 10 times in one direction and 10 times in the opposite direction.
4. Helper-Assisted Rolling:
The helper can gently roll the nubby ball over the participant’s back, arms, and legs to provide extra sensory input, promoting alertness and readiness.
5. Repeat the Sequence:
Go through the entire sequence again for added benefit and engagement.

Encourage slow, controlled movements for better sensory feedback.
Adjust the pressure and pace of rolling to the participant’s comfort level.
Provide positive reinforcement to keep the participant engaged and motivated.
