How to Do:
1. Demonstration:
- The helper demonstrates the movement by placing hands on the chair seat and pushing up.
2. Perform the Exercise:
- The participant places their hands on the chair seat and pushes up.
- Aim to straighten the elbows while pushing, but slight upward movement is also sufficient.
- Perform 5 push-ups in 3 sets (5×3).
- For each push-up, hold the “up” position for a few seconds, counting aloud (“1-2-3”).
Tips for Success:
- Focus on slow, controlled movements to ensure proper form.
- Encourage the participant to push as much as they can comfortably.
- Adjust the activity to the participant’s ability level, offering support if needed.
