How to Do:
1. Setup:
- Position the Helper and Participant seated or standing a comfortable distance apart.
- Ensure the area is clear of obstacles for safe tossing and catching.
2. Activity Steps:
Single-Hand Tossing
- The Helper tosses a bean bag using their left hand to the Participant’s left hand.
- The Participant catches the bean bag with their left hand and tosses it back to the Helper using the same hand.
- Repeat this sequence 5-10 times.
- Switch to the right hand and repeat the process for 5-10 times.
Diagonal Tossing (for older participants or advanced practice)
- The Helper tosses the bean bag diagonally, using their left hand to the Participant’s right hand.
- The Participant catches the bean bag with their right hand and tosses it back diagonally to the Helper’s left hand.
- Repeat this sequence 5-10 times.
- Switch sides and repeat with the other diagonal direction for 5-10 times.
3. Repeat:
- Continue the activity as needed, alternating hands and tossing patterns.
4. Variation:
- Adjust the tossing distance or pace based on the Participant’s skill level.
- Use different colored bean bags to incorporate color recognition into the activity.

- Encourage the Participant to focus on hand-eye coordination and catching accuracy.
- Provide verbal encouragement and celebrate successful catches to build confidence.
