Chair and Wall Push Ups

How to Do:

 

1. Chair Push-Ups:

  • The helper demonstrates by placing hands on the chair seat and pushing up.
  • Perform 5 push-ups in 3 sets (5×3).
  • For each push-up, hold the “up” position for 2–3 seconds while counting aloud (“1-2-3”).

2. Wall Push-Ups:

  • •Stand facing the wall, place hands on the wall, and keep feet planted firmly on the floor.
  • Push against the wall, straightening and bending elbows.
  • Perform 5 push-ups in 3 sets (5×3) quickly.
  • For each push-up, hold both the straight and bent positions for 2–3 seconds while counting aloud (“1-2-3”).

3. Floor Push-Ups:

  • Kneel on the floor and place hands shoulder-width apart.
  • Perform push-ups, lowering the chest toward the floor and pushing back up.
  • Perform 5 push-ups in 3 sets (5×3) quickly.
  • For each push-up, hold both the “down” and “up” positions for 2–3 seconds while counting aloud (“1-2-3”).

Tips for Success:

  • Maintain a comfortable pace and focus on proper form.
  • Adjust the activity to the child’s ability level as needed.
  • Offer encouragement and celebrate progress!
