Chair Push Ups

How to Do:

1. Demonstration:

  • The helper demonstrates the movement by placing hands on the chair seat and pushing up.

2. Perform the Exercise:

  • The participant places their hands on the chair seat and pushes up.
  • Aim to straighten the elbows while pushing, but slight upward movement is also sufficient.
  • Perform 5 push-ups in 3 sets (5×3).
  • For each push-up, hold the “up” position for a few seconds, counting aloud (“1-2-3”).

Tips for Success:

  • Focus on slow, controlled movements to ensure proper form.
  • Encourage the participant to push as much as they can comfortably.
  • Adjust the activity to the participant’s ability level, offering support if needed.
